Cupron registered the active ingredient for Cupron Snow White™, cuprous iodide in masterbatch form, with the US EPA in 2015. Cuprous iodide is an inorganic compound that is incorporated into end-use products for material preservation of fibers; floor coverings; plastics, coatings, films, and laminates; and adhesives and sealants to control the growth of algae, mold, mildew, fungi and bacteria that cause unpleasant odors, discoloration, staining, deterioration, or corrosion.
