Cupron Enhanced™ Textile Applications

Customized Range of Antimicrobial Performance

Cupron proprietary antimicrobial additives can be embedded into synthetic yarns and fibers via masterbatch addition during extrusion. Yarns embedded with Cupron technology offer a unique advantage backed by a public health claim registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Reg. # 84542-10, 84542-11. This technology is designed to actively reduce the presence of harmful athlete’s food fungus on fabric surfaces, making it ideal for use in applications where hygiene and safety are critical. Cupron’s innovative approach ensures long-lasting antimicrobial efficacy, providing peace of mind for consumers and industries alike. The EPA registered public health claims include but are not limited to:

  • Cupron enhanced fibers/fabric will kill 99.9% of T. mentagrophytes (athlete’s foot fungus) after 12 hours of contact with sock.
  • Cupron enhanced fibers/fabric prevent(s) the growth of 99.9% of T. mentagrophytes, athlete’s foot fungus, on the shoe insert.
  • Cupron enhanced fibers/fabric significantly reduce(s) 99.9% of T. mentagrophytes, the fungus that cause athlete’s foot and jock itch.
