Water Infrastructure

The requirements of water infrastructure present particularly unique material preservation, odor and functional degradation challenges. Cupron Performance Additives has engineered polymer solutions to respond to these challenges. As an example, our company holds the only US regulatory registration for a polymer-based solution proven to inhibit root intrusion in irrigation systems. Our engineers and scientists are specialists in systems challenged by a persistently fluid-rich environment.

For years, potable water passed through copper pipes to homes and businesses. Copper was selected for this use for a variety of reasons, but copper was well known as a safe and reliable material resistant microbial contamination. Today, plastic (PVC) is replacing these copper pipes in new construction. These new PVC pipes can be fortified with Cupron technology to bring the reliability of copper back into modern plumbing. Sample applications are shown to the right:

  • Irrigation components
  • Distribution networks
  • Plumbing materials – residential & commercial
  • Potable Water containers
